An effective way to utilise this ability is to turn the projector to \u2018no-show\u2019 when telling a story or describing a scene.\u00a0 This technique allows learners to mentally create images without interference from a screen, and the \u2018imagination effect\u2019 ensures the message is more likely to \u2018stick\u2019[1]<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Here a lecturer uses metaphors that would be difficult to draw or find in an online image search, but which can easily be imagined and understood by those listening.<\/p>\n
